Weekend eye candy

Weekend eye candy #thestylenest
1. How adorable was the Royal family this weekend? 2. Love this bedroom in the HGTV SmartHome 2015. 3. Dreaming of having an outdoor space like this one day! 4. 5. Missing my hydrangaes from my old house. How beautiful are these? 6. All I seem to hear about are sharks lately. So these shark themed cupcakes from Georgetown cupcakes fit right in! Just in time for shark week. 7. Um, where was my invite? T's 4th of July party looked like so much fun.

That was my eye candy for the weekend! Hope everyone had a great 4th!

Did you know ZARA has a Home Line?

ZARA Home Items

ZARA Home Items

ZARA is one of my favorite stores. I first discovered it in London. Funny little story...I wandered into this amazing store that had the coolest clothes for everyone. So I bought each of us something and as I'm walking down Newbury Street was shocked to see a ZARA. This small town girl who was new to Boston had no idea I had one in my own backyard. I was thrilled! Then they made ZARA even better and came out with a HOME Line. it's only available online right now and they also have a kids line as well. Here are some of my favorite items that they currently carry.

1. This leopard rug would look so fun over a sisal rug
2. My brass obsession continues and since our spoons keep disappearing I may be needing a new set soon
3. Clean simple bedding with a pop of color. I love this blue accent. Add fun graphic pillows or a cream cable knit throw
4. These are great accents on top of coffee table books, for shelves or offices. This anchor one would be great in a beach house and it's an anchor so I'm immediately attracted to it.
5. I have a slight obsession with napkins and these rope knot ones would be perfect for summertime
6. This woven basket would be a great addition in a nursery for extra blankets and stuffed animals
7. Stripes? Yes, please. Throw this beautiful camel striped linen throw on your sofa or bed for a finished look
8. I like this picture frame because of it's height. You always want to decorate in layers and this gives you the opportunity to provide height to a console table of pictures.
9. I've always loved West Elm's decorative bowls and was excited to see that ZARA has a similar set. These also come in other colors as well.
10. I have been seeing these ladders a lot lately and I think they're a great addition to a guest bedroom to hang extra throw blankets. Or for that awkward narrow wall that you have no idea what to put there. You can hang magazines or towels on it too.
11. This is a great 2 in 1 piece. The tray lifts off the top of this. Would make a great side table or a small mini bar if you live in a smaller place.

12 Top Interior Design Books

I was having coffee with a new client the other day when she told me to sit down and browse through this new design book she got (Windsor Smith's Homefront). I emerged myself into the book while enjoying the amazing latte she made me and forgot where I was for a second. I think this is what design books can do to you. Sometimes they're calming for me as I dream about these magnificent spaces and sometimes I get anxious because my creative mind starts racing with all these ideas I can use. But they are so useful for so many reasons. There are the high end celebrity style books where a side table I fall in love with costs $9,738 to the design book for families with children, which is more our speed these days!

There is a plethora of design inspiration out there between Pinterest, Houzz, blogs and magazines that you can easily get overwhelmed. So I wanted to share with you some of my favorite design books that I use for inspiration and also as styling in homes. Books can be expensive which is why they are such great gifts to give. Plus I like the thought that I'm still contributing to the non-digital world or that maybe I'm just a hoarder of design books and magazines.

Below is a list of the top 12 books that I have been turning to for inspiration. They range from high end luxury style to flea market finds. If you don't have any of these I highly recommend getting them.

Have a favorite design book? Let me know because I'm always on the hunt for something new.

Luck of the Irish

St Patricks Day

St Patricks Day by jennifercavorsidesign featuring round candles

Happy St Patricks Day!

We awoke this morning to some crazy shenanigans by the leprechauns. Not sure about anyone else but kid are all hyped up about today. I don't ever remember setting leprechaun traps or the leprechauns leaving us gifts as a kids and I'm Irish. Well, the times have changed and my boys act like it's Christmas. They thought for sure this was the year they would catch them. I think they've finally given up and now just look forward to the gifts, which involved a grocery store balloon and heavily dyed green cupcakes purchased at 10pm last night because this crazy momma completely forgot until my 6 yr old told me at bedtime he can't wait to see the toilet water green. Thanks Pinterest! (FYI... I don't recommend green gel food coloring in the toilet)

If only the Leprechauns left me green things like the items featured. I'm not that lucky but lucky for you some of these items are on sale today!! May Designs green notebooks are all 20% off today, World Market lighting is on sale and free shipping on all green items at Stella & Dot!

Pillows Under $25

Pillows Under $25

Pillows Under $25 by jennifercavorsidesign featuring textured throw pillows

I was browsing Target yesterday as I usually do on a weekly basis hoping there is something new from the last time I was there and came across some new pillow arrivals. I have a slight obsession with pillows but so does one of my bff's so I'm not alone. We giddily text each other once we spot a goodie!

Throw pillows are the easiest way to update a room. I like to change mine around with the seasons. Well, that and the fact that everyone is so hard on pillows in my house. They spend a lot of their lifetime on the floor. Because of this I don't spend a lot of money on throw pillows.

Here are some throw pillows spotted at Target for under $25. Great way to freshen up your space for spring.
