GIFT GUIDE FOR TEEN BOYS

Ask a teen boy what they want for Christmas and you may not get much of an answer. I managed to pull some ideas out of my teen boys and scour the internet for ideas that any teen would love to receive. I love finding gifts that might wow them or gifts they'll find useful even if they didn't think they needed it,

I hope that these Gift Guides help you this holiday season! You can find more gift ideas here

GIFT GUIDES FOR LITTLE KIDS

It's officially that time of year and I can't believe it! The holiday season is upon us and I'm kicking off my Gift Guides with the little ones mostly because they're so fun to shop for. I spend way too much time picking the perfect gifts out but I truly enjoy doing it and love finding unique gifts that little ones would love to receive. This age is all about their little imagination and you will see a lot of dress up and imaginary play. I hope you find these guides helpful as you shop for the little ones in your life.

You can find all my gift guides on the LTK app and the Gift Guides tab I saved on stories in Instagram. I've also added specific gifting categories on my Amazon storefront as well.

GIFT GUIDE FOR MEN

I normally struggle on finding gifts for the men in my life but this year I found a slew of great items out there. Gifts for the outdoorsy, tech gifts, for the foodies and some great winter gear to have your men looking great this winter season.

If you don't already have a solo stove, this is one of our favorite items that we have and use. What I love about it, is that I don't have to wash my clothes or smell like smoke after sitting around the fire. It keeps it nice and contained and makes for an easy clean up. It is currently on sale right now for an early black friday sale!  We have the medium bonfire size and this accessory kit is a great addition to the stove.

GIFT GUIDE FOR THE LITTLE KIDS

Maybe one of my favorite gift guides to put together is for the little kids. Maybe it's because there are soooo many cute and unique things out there, I mean how adorable is the mini Peleton? I find that I tend to pick gift ideas that I think will keep kids occupied throughout the winter, like this 3 in 1 sports set or  these Loverly Play Kits. It's a subscription service that mails a different box each month and as they get older it comes every 3 months. Included in the boxes are stage based play essentials for your child's specific age. Mason loves these! It's the only toy that he sits and plays with for a long time. Their quality is amazing! So if you are a parent or grandparent looking for a unique gift, these are my favorite. I found so many cute gift ideas but narrowing it down was hard so I've added a couple more below!

GIFT GUIDE FOR TEENS

I'm kicking off my gift guides with the teens,  maybe the 2nd hardest to shop for beside men. My boys didn't give me many ideas but I did run these ideas by them and they approved. Since I don't have girls, I poll my girlfriends teenagers for some ideas and also scour the internet for cute gift ideas. I secretly enjoy it! I hope that these gift guides will give you some ideas for those hard to shop for teens. I've added additional items below the guides as well. If you come across any amazing gift ideas for teen girls or boys. leave them in the comments.

All of my gift guides are posted here as well

A CASUAL DINING SETTING FOR THE HOLIDAYS WITH ALL MODERN

This post was sponsored by AllModern, and may contain affiliate links. As always, all opinions are my own

As we are all knee deep prepping our homes for the holidays, we tend to want to refresh everything in our homes. With holiday gatherings being small and intimate this year, things look a little different but that doesn't mean we can't give our spaces a little love even if they won't see a lot of people this year. I wanted to create a fresh new look for this family gathering space which is the heart of the home. The perfect space to create gingerbread houses and decorate Christmas cookies with the kids and to gather in our pj's on Christmas morning for some mimosas and brunch.

As a modern farmhouse spindle chair. These spindle chairs are not only kid friendly, but they're comfortable too. I love how the black pops against the gray floors and creates a statement for the space. Paired with a sleek tulip style table, it's a great mix of modern with a little twist of that modern farmhouse that everyone loves. The chairs visually keep the space open with the spindle backs and don't overwhelm the space.  A large globe pendant light works well above the space and we topped the table with large ceramic vases filled with seasonal greens which make it look festive.

Holiday Photo Cards from Minted

I just received my first Christmas cards yesterday and I couldn't believe it! Sending and receiving Holiday cards is one of my favorite things. I love seeing how everyone's kids are growing over the years and since most of our family lives farther away, I love being able to send them cards with pictures of how quickly our own boys are growing.

There are so many great options online for cards but one of my favorite places to order Holiday cards is Minted. Their cards are beautiful, from foil printing to letterpress, there is a style for everyone. They offer unique designs that are completely customizable from their community of over 15, 000 independent artists. You can even upload your picture and it will give you a preview of what it will look like on each card which helps you narrow down your favorite. They also make ordering cards a little less stressful with their free address printing. It leaves us a little more time to focus on the more important things this holiday season, like cooking baking and that pile of laundry. Right now Minted has 20% off your order with code HolidayJoy. Even better, if you join the minted more program, you get 30% off plus a free welcome kit which includes cute gift bags, tags, ribbons, a coloring book and colored pencils and discounts for future orders. This has paid for itself many times over the last year so personally I think it is worth it.

A little holiday tip to keep in mind, deliveries are taking a lot longer because of covid and so you may want to take advantage of this sale and get your cards out earlier this year. Not yet ready? They give you the option to order your cards with the discount and you can go back and add addresses in your contact list later. The good news is, once you upload them, they remain on their site for next years cards.

Here is a look at our previous year Christmas cards with Minted and some of my favorite for 2021!

GIFT GUIDE FOR KIDS

Sorry for the delay on the kids gift guides. I was having technical difficulties that we couldn’t get figured out until now. I know it's late and most people might be done shopping but I thought I'd post them anyway in case you're a procrastinator like myself then maybe they'll come in handy. So I’ve combined all my kids gift guides on this one post. There are gifts for the littles and gifts for the older kids. I do a lot of research on these and pick gifts that I think kids will actually like because well they told me themselves. I even have a couple go to girls I ask for advice on my gift guides every year. They’re always more helpful then my boy go to’s who give me nothing!!! The number one answer for teens was gift cards but you need to have some gifts to wrap and put under the tree so I’ve rounded up some other favorites on their list and I hope this helps you finish up some of your Christmas shopping.

1.Pop up cafe - this is just too cute. I know I would have loved this as a kid and would have spent hours here. 40% off right now!

2.Name puzzle - I love giving personalized gifts. Etsy has so many great options that you can customize but this was one of my favorites. It gives your little one a head start on spelling their name too.

3.Wicker baby carriage - I put this on here because I had one of these when I was little and it was my absolute favorite. It would also look darling in a little girls room as decor too. Another cute moses basket idea here

5.Wooden truck carrier - little boys favorite

6.The cutest balance bike ever! I sort of want to buy this for Mason now even though he can’t even sit up yet

7.Adopt a dog - I saw these at crate & kids a couple weeks ago and thought they were the cutest!

8.There are so many adorable kitchen play sets out there but I love this one! I see a lot of moms ask if a kitchen is ok for a boy and let me tell you that my boys played with our play kitchen more then any other toy. So yes, play kitchens are good for boys!

9.Coffee cup teether so that baby can be just like his tired mama

10. Hearth & Hand doll house - the cutest doll house of all. One of my Instagram friends decorated hers for Christmas and it made me love it even more. Check it out here all decorated for the holidays.

11.Tip toe tiger book - soft cloth book for the littles

12.Dreamer crown - because every little boy deserves to be a prince

Soft blanket. I love this brand and now that we’re headed into the winter I’m finding myself reaching for warmer blankets when we head out for walks.

13.Flamingo doll - this company gives back which is why I love them. They provide meals to kids in need with every purchase. The newly released flamingo is just the cutest!
14.Pretend and play coffee maker - I got this for my niece and she loves it!
15.Wooden push toy - when you need to have toys all over your house it’s nice to have one that actually looks cute

As I said above the first thing requested when I surveyed tween boys and girls was gift cards. Gift cards to places like Bath & Body works, Nordstrom, Athleta, Abercrombie, XBox, Starbucks, Nike and the movies were the top requests. As for gifts, I rounded up other items that were requested by the big kids.

1. Sugarfina candy - who wouldn’t love this! The sugar sour lips are my favorite!!

2. Wireless headphones on sale!

3. Personalized luggage - this is a great gift that will last for years to come

4. Caboodles - I may just be adding a childhood favorite of mine on here because everyone needs a caboodle.

5. Personalized wristlet

6. Athleta Sweatshirt- I actually have this in the adult version and love it!!!

7. Vans high top sneakers

8. Colorful adjustable wishing bracelet

9.  Toilet paper spit gun - this is something I could really regret but I know boys would love this

10.  Hero avengers coding set - for all those super her fans who love to get creative with coding

 12. Basketball hoop - how cool is it that you can keep score on it too?!

13. Video game storage set - kids might not be excited about this so I’d pair this with a video game and gaming headsets

14. Nintendo switch - my 9 year old loves this. The older one prefers Xbox because of fortnite. I like that they can use the switch as a tablet if they want to take it on road trips.

15. Hover board - I know these have been around for awhile but a couple kids I asked this was on their list. It’s on my 9 year olds list this year.

MY HOLIDAY INSPIRATION & DECOR ITEMS

I seriously don't know how we're into the first week of November already. I'm not sure if its that I've been in a newborn fog the last couple months or what but this has crept up on me so quickly. I'm starting to pull some holiday inspiration for this years decor. November and December are two of my favorite months of the year. Everything from the decorating, entertaining, fashion, spending time with family and friends and creating more memories with my kids. An even more exciting year this year because we have a new little bundle to cuddle.

Today I wanted to share my holiday inspiration for this year and things I'm looking to add to my collection and things that I'm loving. I like to plan out my spaces because it helps me not go super crazy when I'm out shopping because I tend to walk into a store and act like a kid in a candy store when I see holiday decorations. My head starts going crazy with all the things I could do and then I don't have the time to do those said things so a plan is what helps to keep me in check. My hope is that this post helps give you some holiday inspiration as well! These are all items that can carry you from Thanksgiving through Christmas.

Stack Beads //  Faux Juniper Vase Filler // Plaid Door Mat // Bay Leaf Garland (I use this on my mantle and it's amazing and lasted in my dry house) // Gold Vase (perfect for a white pointsettia) // Matte Christmas Ornaments // Wicker Tree Collar (Under $30 right now until Friday) // Gold Wreath // Antler Art // Fur Throw // Plaid Pillow // Tassel Garland (Comes in cream too) // Wooden Ornaments (these are so pretty in person and would look great in a bread bowl) // Faux potted paperwhites

We are also in need of a new faux tree. Are you a real or faux tree household? I've always loved real trees but we learned quickly that our new (old) house is very very dry and within a week the branches were basically hanging on the ground and our tree was such a fire hazard I almost went and bought another one so we could make it until Christmas. The next year we decided to go faux. In a way I love a faux tree because you can keep it up longer, you don't have a bazillion needles to clean up and it's easier to decorate. I'm debating whether or not I want to get a flocked tree or not. I shared on my Instagram stories the options I'm considering. Help a girl out and go vote over there!

TREE

I'm on the hunt for a new tree this year and these are the tree's I'm considering. I'm very picky about the lights and I like the warmer white lights over the brighter led lights. I prefer to have them prelit but you can buy them without lights and string your own on.

PILLOWS & DECOR

I plan on incorporating green velvet and windowpane pillows this year. I also love the look leather with dark green so I will be keeping those pillows and adding the green and windowpane ones.  I want to keep a modern yet traditional look this holiday season. I normally have my workroom create my pillow covers for me but my other favorite place to shop for these is Etsy where you can find beautiful and affordable pillows.

GREENERY

This may be my favorite part of decorating. Adding greenery can make such a difference in your home. Over the years I've found some great faux greenery for garland which I was psyched about because some of the faux stuff can look so cheap. For real live greenery I have really liked Williams and Sonoma Home. They're having their Friends & Family Sale right now with code FRIENDS so it's the perfect time to grab these. I also like to shop my local garden centers to support small businesses for my swags and outdoor planters. If you have a faux tree, you will notice that over the years it starts to look scrawny. My trick for fixing this is to add faux picks in the tree which you can find at your local craft store. This is also a great way to beef up your garland as well. I will also mix faux and live too.

GIFT WRAP

Yes, I match my gift wrap to my holiday decor. Again, doing this helps me not overspend on this stuff. I'll be doing a lot of white and black wrapping with velvet and natural ribbons. My favorite places to shop for gift wrap are Homegoods and Target. Homegoods has the best gift tags and ribbon.

TABLE SCAPE

I love me a good table scape. Over the years I switch up my table for the holidays. Last year may have been one of my favorites. Magnolia leaves are usually my go to because they can go from Thanksgiving to Christmas easily. Pair with white flowers and add some berries and greens for a more festive look.

HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE FOR THE HOSTESS

It's that time ladies! Gift Guide Week! I've been busy searching for the perfect gifts for everyone and having so much fun with it. Since a lot of people will be hosting the holidays in the next couple weeks I'm kicking off the week with the hostess gift ideas. I've included some this year that are also great home decor items and I'll share how to make them a great hostess gift as well because who doesn't love something they can use year after year.

I either own some of these items or have them on my list to get as hostess gifts and decor for my home this year. I'll include links below so you can shop these items and have them delivered right to your door! So what are we waiting for? Let's get this started!

www.thestylenest.blogspot.com

2. There is just something about magnolia wreaths and garland at the holidays that make everything look so elegant. Terrain makes beautiful live wreaths that you can have delivered to your home. Or if you're lucky enough to live near a Terrain store I suggest you check it out because it's one of the most amazing places I've been to. This is an unexpected hostess gift but one that I think would be greatly appreciated. I know I would love it!

3. Another great Target item are these brass bells which come in a set of 1 or 3. Add a cute hang tag and a red plaid ribbon for the hostess. I've seen them added to a wreath here and it looked beautiful.

4. I have a similar set of metal reindeer like these from a couple of years ago that I still love year after year. They move around my house from table decor to the mantle. You'll never know where they end up. Our elf likes to ride on them too! Add a cute little ribbon to their neck and give as a set.

5. I saw these trays in Target the other day and thought they were so cute. Add some homemade cookies or some cute mugs with hot chocolate to take along as a hostess gift. And they're only 9.99!!

6. Plaid Pendelton blankets are amazing! The hard part will be choosing which pattern to pick. Add a monogram for an extra special touch.

7. I spotted these cute little plates at ModCloth and thought they would make the cutest hostess gift. They have a couple different designs to choose from too.

8. Hands down probably one of my favorite hostess gifts to give is these embroidered cocktail napkins. They come in a set of 4 and you can choose from a couple clever designs. If you live locally Trellis Home in Hingham carries them in their shop. If not you can find them here too

9. Make a 6 pack classy with a cute bottle opener tied to the package

10. I absolutely love these gold hammered stemless wine glasses. They're on sale right now at World Market but you can sometimes score them at Homegoods too. Add 4 of them to a cute Sugar Paper box from Target and wrap a pretty ribbon around the box (gift wrapping ideas coming next week)

11. This marble and brass cheese knife set is the perfect little hostess gift. Pair with some of your favorite cheeses if you're bringing an appetizer.

12. I discovered this candle company on Instagram and really enjoyed looking at the pictures of how they make these soy candles. From their site: Candles are poured in batches of 9 or 10. Each candle, from wicking to wax melting to pouring and wick-cutting, is created with the utmost care and precision. Known for their fresh, calming botanical fragrances and vintage inspired packaging, these candles can be found sitting on the chicest of coffee tables, nightstands, and mantles all over the world.

13. And the hostess always needs ice to keep the cocktails cold!

Another favorite gift idea are these BOX fox boxes. Ideas for everyone on your list including cute hostess gift ideas like this EAT // SWEET one

I hope yo enjoyed these gift ideas and I can't wait to share the rest with you this week.
