FEATURED DESIGNER CRUSH

I could spend hours, actually I take that back...days perusing talented designers portfolios. Filling my head with ideas for my own home and my clients homes. But this weeks perusing led me to Chenault James Interiors. A southern girl who manages to mix traditional classic design and modern touches to create timeless interiors. I'm very much a neutral girl who loves to add color with accessories so you can imagine how much I love these spaces. Traditional Home named her a "New Trad" designer of 2015 and there's a good reason. Her work is amazing. She is also the co-owner of Pappy & Co which is a line of bourbon inspired items including barware, clothing, hot sauce and even furniture.

The ceiling, windows, animal print chair covered on cassaro fabric...completely obsessing over all of it. I love how she kept the window treatments off of these windows to showcase how beautiful they are.

This reminds me of some of the victorian homes here in New England with their beautiful woodwork and little details like the arch above the doorway. This paint color is beautiful as well and the pop of color in this beautiful abstract print.

This kitchen is so simple yet so stunning. The zinc hood and marble blend perfectly. I'd personally do a different light fixture above the island because I like a little more modern but this fits the space well.

So many of my favorites all in one room. This Kelly Whearstler fabric is so fun and I love seeing it mixed in traditional spaces. Paired with this Phillip Jeffries nailed it grasscloth and the painted trim I just love it all. I love the feminine pastel velvet couch used with a more masculine wallpaper too.  Bold art by Sally Benedict placed above the fireplace. This is a great example of traditional and modern done well.

Black iron doors make anything look amazing! I really really need these in my life one day. Can we also talk about this table base by Beau Studios??

I love the function of this space. How we all could use a pretty room for the messy stuff. Although after I found my son with red food coloring I may be rethinking the need for a pretty, messy room. We have these barstools and I love them.

I love that she painted the trim the same color of the cabinets in this office space. A glass waterfall table keeps the space open and lets the rug and window treatments remain the center of attention. And that Worlds Away shell light fixture is like the jewelry piece to finish the look.

This Galbraith & Paul Lotus print on this pillow may hands down may be my favorite prints and I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate it into my master bedroom, whether it be in fabric or wallpaper, I'm not sure but I need it.  My issue has been I can't decide which color way I like the best. This is the picture that let me to Chenault's work.

How awesome is this map wallcovering? Paired with a hairpin leg desk and fun chair this is a room that can easily grow with kids.

This may be my favorite. I'm sort of partial to this wallpaper and love when it's used in childrens spaces. Chenault paired with these beautiful blue upholstered headboards and natural pendants to bring in warmth to the space. This space shows how Chenault adds color with accessories. You can easily switch out the beds in this space and create a completely different look. Although she did an amazing job with this space and I'm really digging this blue color right now.
