HALLOWEEN READY WITH BIRCH LANE

Halloween is here! A favorite holiday we love to decorate for over at our house. From spooky decor for the home to treats for the treaters.  With the help of Birch Lane, our Halloween decor took our porch and party treats up a notch.

Our porch is ready to go with a mix of pumpkins, lanterns, a skeleton door mat and a fall wreath that we can carry through Thanksgiving. Layering in lanterns with pumpkins is a great way to add another element  of lighting along with the glow of your pumpkins. I love these lanterns because they can be used year round on your front porch. I added a Halloween element with this skeleton door mat. I love that it adds a subtle Halloween moment.

Birch Lane has a great selection of front porch decor and this wreath is beautiful! It's very full in person and the fall color will carry us from Halloween to Thanksgiving! Add a simple ribbon bow to it to transition it for the next holiday.

HALLOWEEN CARAMEL APPLE BAR

Step on inside to some treats for the kids or a caramel apple bar for your Halloween party. This is the first time I attempted making my own caramel apples and let's just say, it won't be our last. It was a lot easier then I expected and the kids devoured them when they came home from school. I used this cast iron pot to make the caramel sauce, which worked really well. The recipe I used to make these caramel apples is at the bottom of this post.

I created an apple bar set up using these great kitchen items from the Birch Lane Halloween Shop. With a variety of kitchen items to choose from, I started with these unique carved pumpkins with the cutest wood stems and removable lids. These are a substantial size so they can hold a lot of apples or set them up side by side for a more decorative look on your counter.

With the leftover caramel sauce, I added it to this black staub pumpkin coquette which is a mini version of the dutch oven. It created the perfect vessel for the extra caramel sauce to be served as a dip and helped keep it warmer longer. Add a little sprinkle of butterscotch pieces to the top of this dip! I sliced up extra apples and placed them in this beautiful pottery bowl from Farmhouse Pottery. I have had my eye on this pottery line for awhile and it did not disappoint. It's a beautiful addition to your kitchen for baking and entertaining.

Long narrow cutting boards work great when setting up food. I consider the a necessity in a kitchen. I used this long black one and layered this adorable little wooden apple bowl which fit the theme of our apple bar just right. I added little bowls of toppings for the caramel apples.

A tiered serving tray worked great to hold the extra apples. Tiered serving trays are an entertaining essential. It adds height to your set up and provides an extra serving area for your treats.

Caramel apples can be sticky so having some napkins on hand can help with those messy hands. I will be ordering more of these napkins because they are so soft and the little stitch detail on them is so pretty.

I had so much fun putting this caramel apple bar together that I wanted to gift one of you items to create your own caramel apple bar. Head on over to my Instagram page to see how to enter!
